Single End Stud

One End Stud

The unthreaded end can be used as a locator pin, shaft, hinge, or pivot point. These studs, which are made of 18-8 stainless steel, can be slightly magnetic and are resistant to chemicals.

Slot One End Stud

DIN 427 / ISO 2342 Use the unthreaded end of these metric studs as a locator pin, pivot point, hinge, or shaft after screwing the threaded end into a tapped hole. With a slotted screwdriver or by hand, all can be installed and adjusted. Steel gives these studs strength and resistance to wear. They work best in dry conditions because moisture will make them rust. All adhere to the worldwide standard for fastener dimensions, ISO 2342 (previously DIN 427).

One End Stud with cotter pin

These studs, often called hood pins, have a cotter pin inserted through a drilled hole in the unthreaded part for light-duty holding applications such locking other fasteners and securing access panels. Because the stud and cotter pin are made of 18-8 stainless steel, they are resistant to chemicals and have a slight magnetic field.
